My Path

My spiritual journey began at the age of 18 when I met a young woman who altered my life significantly. She told me she was a medium. I knew nothing about mediums or mediumship but found myself captivated by her stories. I realized I was given a glimpse into the magic of the unseen world.

That introduction created a desire to research, educate and integrate the mystical and non-physical world into my physical life. I am deeply committed to understanding what is going on “behind the scenes.”

One of my favorite mystics, Caroline Myss, became my first teacher. Her book, Anatomy Of The Spirit, launched me into the field of Reiki energy healing. I devoured many of her beautifully crafted books which discussed soul contracts, chakras, medical intuition, energy healing and mysticism. Her books are like old friends to me. Myss opened my eyes so that I could shift more deeply into the intangible world. My personal path to wellness began with what Myss refers to as the “Dark Night Of The Soul.” I have experienced three. Doing the inner work required to heal the heart can be challenging, however, the payoff is freedom and peace.

We have been disconnected from our hearts for far too long and trauma can keep us separated from our true selves and others. Returning to ourselves can feel like a lonely thing to do, however, a hidden blessing is remembering that a healing path requires connection. Why? Because we are divinely designed to lovingly connect and support each other in meaningful, heart-felt ways. We are divinely designed to heal individually AND together.

I have been operating as a Reiki Master practitioner, off and on, for 16 years. Interestingly, my path to wellness blossomed in the summer of 2025 when I met Crystle Castle, also known as The Reiki Medicine Woman. We literally met on a path while walking our dogs. I now refer to that path as my “official” path to wellness. Crystle I and began to regularly exchange Reiki treatments. I recognized, almost immediately, that my EVERYTHING began to shift. As a practitioner I was used to giving Reiki—not receiving it. I was delighted to fully discover that receiving Reiki regularly allowed my shifts to occur rapidly. I lovingly call the energetic frequency shifts “clearing the clutter” or “frequency hygiene.”

Crystle has become one of my dearest friends and soul sisters. Our work together, coupled with the loving guidance and assistance from the spirit world, transmuted my blocked energy by raising my frequency. The shifts inspired me to actively cultivate my Reiki practice and firmly planted me on my path to Dharma or “Life’s Purpose.”

In addition, my path to wellness includes another beautiful human named Cathy Kerns, whom I consider the quintessential and archetypal “Teacher” and “Wise Woman.” Cathy, owner of Reiki Renewal, mentored me selflessly as she held my hand through the development of my website. She encouraged me to keep going and worked with me until it was complete. During that time, I attended her mediumship classes which created a safe space for my mediumship development. My depth of gratitude and respect cannot be measured. Crystle and Cathy are part of my sacred path to wellness, and I will be forever grateful.
